By combining short-wave violet for cognitive alertness with a specific 480nm circadian blue channel, our luminaires achieve retinal penetration that standard lighting cannot match. Our technology suite ranges from GPS-adaptive seasonal controls and wearable resident sensors to our patented visual spectral status indicators; its purpose-built to deliver measurable clinical outcomes.

Dual-spectrum precision

Unlike standard LEDs that rely on a single blue peak, our dual-spectrum architecture delivers a precise, simultaneous output of Short-Wave Violet and 480nm Circadian Blue.

The violet channel is engineered to stimulate cognitive alertness, while the 480nm channel is specifically tuned for melanopsin entrainment.

This distinction is critical because traditional "cool white" lighting often uses 450nm wavelengths, which are largely absorbed by the yellowing lens of the ageing eye. By delivering two distinct channels in one luminaire, we ensure the biological signal reaches the retina, providing the necessary stimulus for healthy body rhythms regardless of the user’s age.

By integrating GPS-based seasonal data, the lighting automatically adjusts its intensity and spectral composition to match the natural cycle of the sun, ensuring residents receive the correct stimulus for the time of year.

Furthermore, we utilize individual wearable sensors that detect the actual light exposure a resident receives throughout the day. This allows for a truly personalized experience; the system tracks individual circadian states and adjusts the environment to address specific light deficits, ensuring no resident is left in a state of biological darkness.

Spectral validation

One of the most significant barriers to effective circadian lighting is that light quality is often invisible to the naked eye. Sensio Bio-labs solves this through a unique, patented "Spectral Status" visual indicator. Each luminaire features a segmented bezel ring that illuminates to show staff exactly which therapeutic channels are active in real-time.

To ensure the absolute accuracy of these biological outputs, we utilize an in-house SPD (Spectral Power Distribution) spectrometer. While other manufacturers rely on theoretical LED data sheets, we physically measure the precise spectral output of every luminaire design during development. By capturing the exact wavelength peaks and intensities, specifically ensuring the 480nm circadian blue and short-wave violet channels are performing to clinical standards, we bridge the gap between laboratory science and real-world application.
