Under his leadership, he transformed his initial ventures into the UK’s No.1 lighting brand for the Kitchen, Bedroom, and Bathroom (KBB) sector. Today, the company maintains a dominant market presence with robust operations spanning across the United Kingdom and the European Union.
Building on his success in the KBB sector, Michael bridged the gap between commercial lighting and scientific advancement by establishing Sensio Bio-labs. This specialised venture was born out of a strategic partnership with Leeds University, focusing on cutting-edge bio-medical research.

Dr Fariz Khellaf
Dr Fariz Khellaf is a Chartered Engineer and lighting specialist with over 40 years of experience across research, innovation, and industry leadership. He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester and has built a distinguished career at the forefront of lighting technology, holding Chief Technology Officer and Technical Director roles at several blue-chip organisations.
Throughout his career, Dr Khellaf has combined deep technical expertise with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what light can do, from architectural and commercial applications through to the emerging field of human-centric and biologically active lighting. He is a co-inventor of Sensio Bio-labs' melanopsin-targeted phototherapy platform, bringing decades of photonic engineering knowledge to the development of next-generation SAD treatment and circadian health devices.

Jason Smith
Jason is a highly accomplished operations and commercial leader with a proven track record of scaling businesses and pioneering market-defining initiatives. With a career rooted in high-growth technology and large-scale manufacturing, he brings a wealth of strategic expertise to his role as Chief Operations Officer.
Jason began his career at Dixons Group, where he played a pivotal role in one of the most significant milestones in UK tech history. As part of the core team that launched Freeserve, he helped deliver the UK’s first mass-market internet service, which rapidly became the nation’s largest ISP.
Before joining the executive team at Sensio, Jason served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Bristan Group, where he sharpened his expertise in high-volume supply chains and commercial strategy within the home improvement sector.
